I enjoyed this book so much! It's full of insta-love with characters that are a little more mature--what's not to love? Joe is the ultimate alpha hero--all growly and possessive (my favorite) and Bernice is a great sassy heroine who knows who she is and is not afraid to show it. When they first lay eyes on each other? That's right, BOOM! It was just a fun read. This story includes characters from The Wallflowers series (which I haven't read, but plan to soon!) and Aurora Rose Reynolds' Until series (Joe is November's uncle, if you've read them) and I was able to follow along fine, so no worries there--it stands alone. As always, CP Smith gives us great characters that you just want to root for. Great read and I completely recommend it!

Wow. This blurb gives NOTHING away. To be honest, there were several times that I almost stopped reading this because it was disturbing to me. Each time, I thought I'd give it just a little more and I got to a point very soon that I could not put it down. I'm so glad that I powered through. I won't say much because I think you do need to go into this blind. If I had known more about it, I probably would have passed on it. Y'all, Lucia Franco knows how to weave a story and she did an phenomenal job here. This thing had my jaw dropping through most of it and I was fanning myself through the rest (SERIOUS steam--some of the hottest scenes I've ever read.) Know that it IS an age-gap and it IS taboo. It WILL make you uncomfortable. You'll have to keep an open mind. But if you're like me, you'll NEED to read it through to the end.

Matt and Stacey first meet when Stacey, a journalist for a women's magazine, is tasked with writing an article on Matt, who is an escort. Attraction is immediate. Curiosity ensues. Stacey is taking a break from dating and Matt, well, he knows that he can't realistically have a relationship and continue his current employment, so he's also taken a break from dating (er, except for his job.) As, the two get to know each other, they find it harder and harder to ignore their feelings but Matt's job is a giant divider--I mean, who could handle that?

To be honest, when I first heard about this book, I didn't give it much thought. I figured it would be a cute, light, funny read. And in many ways, it was. BUT, it was more. This book was full of funny and sexy moments but it was surprisingly filled with so many touching, heartwarming (and sometimes heart-breaking) scenes that I couldn't put it down. It was a book that really makes you consider how far you would go for love and what you'd be willing to give up to keep love. It makes you realize that not everything is black and white. I really enjoyed it and would recommend you give it a try--even if you think it might not be your thing. You might be surprised.
