I’m done. He’s sweet, but I’m over this game, no matter how nice he’s trying to be. If years of speech therapy can’t fix me, this guy is certainly not going to. “Iggy.” That’s as close as it’s going to get at the moment. I’ll go home and practice but for right now, I’m done. “Iggy?” he repeats, and I shrug defeatedly. “Iggy. Yeah, I can live with that.” He winks at me. “Later, Abby.” And then he walks away with a smug look on his face.

I enjoyed this second-chance romance between Iggy and Abby.
When Abby finds herself in some trouble, her sister and brother-in-law
call in Iggy to protect her and her two children. They haven't seen each
other in 15 years, since they were in a relationship in their teens,
and when they come back together they find that all those old feelings
are still there. There's a lot to get through for the two of them --
anger about the past, fear of the future, guilt, the kids and their
feelings, and oh yeah, someone wants Abby dead.
There were a lot of characters that are apparently from other Sidney Halston books, but I never felt lost having not read any previous works. Overall, I thought it was a really good read with lots of suspense, sweetness, and a good dose of heat. I would recommend it and will be reading more from this author.
